ABOUT ME

I live in Denton, Texas with Edie, my wife of forty-seven years. We have two children and four grandchildren. I spent twenty-three years in the USAF as a Russian linguist. I was also a program manager, curriculum developer, and teacher at the National Security Agency. Subsequently, I became a management consultant and motivational speaker. For eight plus years I was on staff at an evangelical church and served as chaplain at a private Christian school. I am now retired.

II've been a student of human behavior for nearly forty years. As the book’s dedication attests, the man who taught me the most in this area was my late supervisor, Chief Master Sergeant James B. Heath. Under his tutelage at the Electronic Security Command NCO Academy and Leadership School in San Angelo, Texas, I learned that attitude is a choice and not merely a condition one acquires. Simply, it is the direction in which you lean. The Continuum diagnoses the causes of and suggestions for developing a winning attitude.
